  • PROGRESS IN TREATMENT OF Kienböck’s DISEASE

Objective To review the progress in the cl inical treatment of Kienbouml;ck’s disease. Methods Related l iterature concerning the treatment of Kienbouml;ck’s disease was reviewed, and comprehensive analysis was done. Results The treatment methods of Kienbouml;ck’s disease include non-surgical treatment and surgical treatment, which are primarily guided bythe anatomic factor and Lichtman stage. Non-surgical treatment methods should be selected in patients of children and at stage I. Surgical treatment methods include vascularized bone graft transfer into the cored-out lunate, radial shortening osteotomy, radial lateral wedge osteotomy, etc. All surgical treatment methods have advantages and disadvantages. Conclusion For the treatment of Kienbouml;ck’s disease, none of procedure is superior to another. In short, choosing different treatment strategies based on different patients can achieve the desired outcome.

  • Research Hotspots Analysis on Imaging of Pancreatic Neuroendocrine Tumor on Bibliometrics

ObjectiveTo investigate the hotspots from researches on imaging of pancreatic neuroendocrine tumor in recent five years. MethodsThe bibliographies from research literatures on imaging of pancreatic neuroendocrine tumor from 2010 to 2015 in PubMed database were downloaded. The Bicomb 2.0 bibliographies analysis software was used to count high-frequency of Mesh major topics (MJMEs). SPSS 22.0 statistical software was applied for clustering analysis with MJMEs, then to get the topic hotspots. ResultsA total of 357 literatures were screened out during the years of 2010-2015. The MJMEs which frequency > 13 were 28. Taken the 28 MJMEs into clustering analysis, then three research hotspots were clustered. ConclusionResearches on imaging of the pancreatic neuroendocrine tumor in recent five years are mainly in terms of imaging techniques, a comparative study of pathology and endoscopic ultrasonography-fine needle aspiration, imaging and disease treatment.

  • Advancements and challenges in network meta-analysis of diagnostic test accuracy

This study comprehensively reviews the theoretical foundations, historical development, practical applications, and potential challenges of network meta-analysis of diagnostic test accuracy (DTA-NMA). DTA-NMA, as a method for evaluating and comparing the accuracy of different diagnostic tests, demonstrates its unique value in improving diagnostic accuracy and optimizing treatment strategies by integrating direct and indirect evidence, providing crucial support for clinical decision-making. However, despite significant progress in methodology and practice, DTA-NMA still faces multiple challenges in implementation, including enhancing research transparency, integrating diverse evidence, accurately assessing bias risks, presenting and interpreting results, and evaluating evidence quality. In the future, further refinement of reporting standards and evidence grading specific to DTA-NMA research will be crucial for the development of this field, facilitating evidence-based efficient medical decision-making and ultimately improving patient outcomes. This study aims to provide scholars conducting DTA-NMA research with reflection and insights to promote the steady development of this field.

  • STUDY ON TISSUE ENGINEERING BONE

Objective To review the research advances of the seed cells , the scaffolds and the tissue fabrication of tissue engineering bone. Methods The literature concerned culturing human bone marrow cells, reshaping cuttlebones, and fabricating bone tissues was reviewed extensively. Results Osteoblasts from human bone marrow were successfully induced and differentiated; the cuttlebones were reshaped in cuttlebone hydroxyapatite for the first time; and some tissue engineering bones, such as the osteoblasts/CHA500R, osteoblasts/cuttlebone hydroxyapatite and osteoblasts/PBH were fabricated. Conclusion These tissue einineering bones construced by marrow-derived osteoblasts and CHA500R, cuttlebone hydroxyapatite or PBH are hopeful to be applied clinically.

  • ADVANCE IN URETHRAL RECONSTRUCTION WITH TISSUE ENGINEERING TECHNIQUES

Objective To sum up the research advances in urethra reconstruction with tissue engineering techniques. Methods The recent original articles about urethra reconstruction with engineering techniques were extensively reviewed. Results At present, human urothelium and smooth muscle cells have been successfully harvested, cultivated, and expanded in vitro in sufficient quantitiesfor reconstruction. Tissue engineering for urethral reconstruction includes matrices alone, the body’s natural ability which induces new tissue growth, or the use of matrices with cells. Conclusion The tissue engineering materials for urethral reconstruction has been used successfully to repair defect of hypospadias and urethral strictures. The reconstructionof complex urethral defects need to be improved and developed.
